The heart of this concert features some of the most notorious works ever written for the viola. In many instances, a bit too raw. But they are relevant. Especially in this time and age, where we increasingly having our senses tapped into digital consoles and interfaces. The relevance of modern works to the cultural and political movement of today has become ever-increasingly clearer. Interlacing the works are electronic interludes that bridge the aural soundscape of each composer.

In forming a collaboration that is satisfying and stimulating, the performers have put forth the concept of maximum freedom in strict texts. This concert is unconventional in it’s format.
